Patliputra University, Patna, to organise ‘Tarang’ in 2019, TMBU asked to hold ‘Eklavya’

Patna : The Governor cum Chancellor of state universities Lalji Tandon has directed the Vice-Chancellors of all the universities to intensify the cultural and sports activities under their respective jurisdiction.

Patliputra University (PPU), Patna, has been assigned the task of holding inter-university cultural competition ‘Tarang’ at Patna in 2019 while Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU), Bhagalpur, has been asked to organise inter-university sports competition ‘Eklavya’ at Bhagalpur.

‘Tarang’ and ‘Eklavya’, which were not being held for the last several years, were revived in 2018 following the directive of Governor Lalji Tandon. Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU), Darbhanga, had organised ‘Tarang’ in November 2018 while Magadh University (MU), Bodh Gaya, had organised the ‘Eklavya’ at Bodh Gaya in December 2018.
