Pathak launches ‘Sulabh Jal’ project at Darbhanga

Darbhanga : Founder of Sulabh International Dr Bindeshwar Pathak on July 14, 2018, launched an innovative water project, ‘Sulabh Jal’, at Haribol Pond on Darbhanga Municipal Corporation campus.

Darbhanga MLA Sanjay Saraogi, Darbhanga DM Chandrasekhar Prasad Singh and Darbhanga Mayor Vaijayantree Devi Kheriya were prominent among those present on the occasion. Sulabh International had introduced the “Sulabh Sauchalya”  scheme across the country several years back.

Dr. Pathak said that the project will provide cheapest drinking water in the world for only 50 paisa per litre. The ‘Sulabh Jal’ project converts contaminated pond water into safe drinking water that can be sold at only 50 paise per litre at villages and adjoining cities. He described the project as an  innovative model of Sulabh International.
