Patna : Pakistan scored 176/4 in 20 overs against Australia in 2nd semi-final of ICC T20 World Cup at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai, UAE, on November 11, 2021, night, as opener Mohd Rizwan scored 67 runs in 52 balls hitting 3 fours and 4 sixes while Fakhar Zaman scored an unbeaten 55 in 32 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Zaman hit fast bowler Mitchell Starc for back to back sixes in last over. Pakistan scored 59 runs in last 5 overs. Australia had won the toss and opted to bowl.

Batting first, Pakistan opener : Mohd Rizwan and Babar Azam added 71 runs for 1st wicket. Babar fell to spinner Adam Zampa for 39 in 34 balls with 5 fours. Rizwan and Fakhar Zaman added 72 runs for the 2nd wicket. Rizman fell to Starc and it was 143/2. Asif Ali fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins for zero making it 158/3.  Shoaib Malik fell to Starc for 1 and it was 162/4 after 19.2 overs.

Fast medium bowler Jos Hazlewood conceded 49 runs in 4 overs without taking any wicket. Mitchell Starc took 2/38 in 4 overs while Pat Cummins took 1/30 in 4 overs. Zampa took 1/22 in 4 overs.
