Patna : Pakistan were 37/0 in their second innings at stumps on day 3 of the 1st cricket test against New Zealand at Sheih Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 18, 2018. They need another 139 runs to win this test with all ten wickets in hand and two days of play left.

Earlier, New Zealand, who had scored 153 in their first innings, were all out for 249 in their innings taking a lead of 175 runs on November 18 with Captain Kane Williamson scoring 37, wicketkeeper B J Watling 59, Henry Nicholls 55, and opener Jeet Raval 46. Ross Taylor scored 19 while opener Tom Latham was out for a duck. Spinner Ish Shodhi made 18. For Pakistan, fast bowler Hasan Ali took 5/45 while spinner Yasir Shah took 5/110.

Pakistan had scored 227 in their first innings with  Babar Azam coring 62, Haris Sohail 38, and Asad Shafiq 43. For New Zealand, fast bowler Trent Boult took 4/54 while Colin de Grandhomme took 2/30.
