Patna : Pakistan defeated West Indies (WI) by 109 runs in 2nd test at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, on Day 5 on August 24, 2021, late night, to level the two-match test series 1-1. WI had won the 1st test by 1 wicket.
Set a target of 329 runs, WI were all out for only 219 runs in their second innings with fast bowler Shaheen Afridi, who had taken 6/51 in WI first innings, taking 4/43 in second innings to be named Player Of The Series. Pakistan spinner Nauman Ali took 3/52 while medium fast bowler Hasan Ali took 2/37. Afridi was also named Player Of The Match.
For WI, fast bowler Jason Holder scored 7 runs in 83 balls hitting 5 fours and 2 sixes while opener Kraigg Brathwaite ( Captain) scored 39 runs in 147 balls with 5 fours.
