Pakistan 249/5 after 47 overs in 1st ODI against SA

Patna : Chasing a target of 267, Pakistan were 249/5 after 47 overs in the first ODI against South Africa at St George’s Park, Port Elizabetrh, South Africa, on January 19, 2019, late night, with Mohammad Hafeez batting on 62 and spinner Shadab Khan on 9. Opener Imam-ul- Haq fell to Duanne Olivier for 86 in 101 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. His opening partner Fakhar Zaman also fell to Olivier for 25 in 23 balls with 3 fours and six. Pakistan need 18 runs in 18 balls.

Babar Azam scored 49 in 69 balls with 5 fours while Shaoib Malik scored 12. Captain & wicketkeeper SarfrazAhmed was out for just 1 run.

Earlier electing to bat after winning the toss, South Africa scored  266/2 in 50 overs with opener Hashim Amla scoring an unbeaten 108 in 120 balls with 7 fours and a six while  Rassie van der Dussen scored 93 in 101 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. Reeza Hendricks scored 45.
