Patna : Pakistan beat West Indies by 143 runs in the first T20I at National Stadium, Karachi, Pakistan, on April 1. Chasing a target of 204 to defeat Pakistan in the first T20I, West Indies collapsed to be 60/9 after 13.4 overs. Veerasammy Permaul did not bat due to injury.

Pakistan had scored 203 in 20 overs with opener Fakhar Zaman scoring 39, Captain Sarfraz Ahmad 38 and Hussain Talat 41. Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten on a quickfire 37 in 14 balls while Faheem Ashraf remained not out on 16.

For WestIndies, Marlon Samuels scored 18. Andre Fletcher, captain Jason Mohammad, and wicketkeeper Dinesh Ramdin were out for duck. Kemo Paul remained unbeaten on 10. Rayad Emrit was out for 11 while Samuel Badree was out for 7.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Amir, Shoaib Malik took two wickets each while Hasan Ali, Shadab Khan, and Hussain Talat took one wicket each.
