Patna : Pakistan were 64/3 after 17 overs at stumps on Day 3 in their first innings in 1st test against Australia at The Gabba, Brisbane, Australia, on November 23, 2019, with opener Shan Masood unbeaten on 27 in 47 balls hitting 3 fours and Babar Azam unbeaten on 20 in 33 balls with 2 fours. Masood and Babar Azam have so far added 39 runs for the 4th wicket. Pakistan trail by 276 runs.
Captain Azhar Ali, who had scored 39 in first innings, fell to fast bowler Mitchell Starc for 5. Haris Sohail fell to Starc for 8 making it 25/2. Asad Shafiq, who had scored 76 in first innings, fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins for a duck and it was 25/3.
Earlier resuming at their overnight score of 312/1, Australia were all out for 580 in 157.4 overs taking a first innings lead of 340 runs with Marnus Labuschagne scoring 185 in 279 balls hitting 20 fours, his first test century, and opener David Warner scoring 154 in 296 balls with 10 fours. Warner fell to Naseem Shah making it 351/2. He added 129 runs with Labuschagne for 2nd wicket. Steven Smith fell to spinner Yasir Shah for 4 and it was 358/3.
Labuschagne then added 110 runs with Matthew Wade for 4th wicket. Wade fell to Haris Sohail for 60 in 97 balls with 7 fours and a six and it was 468/4. Travis Head fell to Haris Sohail for 24 in 29 balls with 3 fours and it was 505/5. Captain Tim Paine (wk) fell to fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for 13 making it 545/6. Labuschagne fell to fast bowler Shaheen Afridi making it 546/7. Mitchell Starc fell to Yasir Shah for 5 making it 559/8. Pat Cummins fell to Imran Khan for 7 and it was 567/9. Josh Hazlewood fell to Shah.
For Pakistan, Yasir Shah took 4/205 in 48.4 overs while Haris Sohail took 2/75 in 19 overs. Shaheen Afridi took 2/96 in 34 overs while Nasheem Shah took 1/68 in 20 overs. Imran Khan took 1/73 in 24 overs.
