Paire, Pouille, Tsonga & Bedene enter SFs of ATP Moselle Open

Patna : Third seed Benoit Paire, 30, France, 4th seed Lucas Pouille, 25, France, World No 61 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, 34, France, and World No 76 Aljaz Bedene, 30, Slovenia, reached the semi-finals of Moselle Open, an ATP 250 Points event, at Metz, France, on September 20, 2019.

World No 23 Paire beat World No 98 Gregoire Barrere, 25, France, 7-6, 6-4 in 79 minutes in the quarter-finals on September 20, 2019. Paire fired 14 Aces in the match to 5 by Barrere. He also won 2 break points to 1 by Barrere.

World N0 26 Lucal Pouille beat World No 49 Filip Krajinovic,  27, Serbia, 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in QFs. Pouille won 5 break points in the match to 3 by Krajinovic. The Serbian fired 13 Aces in the match to 11 by Pouille.

Tsonga entered the SFs after his quarter-finals opponent and 2nd seed Nikoloz Basilashvile, Georgia, the World No 17, retired due to injury in the third set with Tsonga leading 4-1. Tsonga fired 21 Aces in the match to 9 by Basilashvile. Tsonga lost the first set 5-7 but won the second set 6-3.

Bedene beat World No 62 Pablo Carreno Busta, 26, Spain, 6-4, 7-5 in QFs. Bedene fired 27 Aces in the match to 4 by Busta. Bedene also won 2 break points.

Bedene will face Paire in the semi-finals while Tsonga will face Pouille in the second semi-finals.
