Patna : R Balki directed film ‘Padman’ starring Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor grosed Rs 13.68 crore on its second day taking the box office collecton of the film in its first two days to Rs 23.94 crore. It had collected Rs 10.26 crore at the box office on day 1.The film is likely to do even better on Sunday that is February 11, 2018, due to very positive reviews and word of mouth.
Made on a budget of nearly Rs 70 crore including the fee of Akshay Kumar, Padman was released on 2,750 screen across the country and 600 screens abroad. This film has been reportedly banned in Pakistan.
Padman, co-produced by Twinkle Khanna, is based on real life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham, Tamilnadu, who developed a machine to produce low cost sanitary napkins.
