‘Padmaavat’ grosses Rs 235 cr in 15 days

Patna : ‘Padmaavat’, a period drama, starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Shahid Kapoor and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhanshali has grossed a little over Rs 235 crore in 15 days since its release on January 25, 2018, after big protests from some quarters.

It had done a business of Rs 166 crore in its first week including Rs 114 crore in its first four days. It grossed over Rs 64 crore in its second week. The film has reportedly been made at a cost of Rs 215 crore. Now, it facing stiff competition from Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Padman’, which released on February 9.
