Patna : World No 5 P V Sindhu, India, advanced to the second round of Blibli Indonesia Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 1,000 badminton tournament at Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 17, 2019. Fifth seed Sindhu beat World N0. 21 Aya Ohori, Japan, in a three-game thriller 11-21, 21-15, 21-15 in 59 minutes coming from behind in the first round.
Sindhu won 53 rallies in the match to 51 by Ohori. Both the players won 5 consecutive points each in the match. Sindhu now leads Ohori 7-0 Head to Head.
World No. 3 and 2nd seed Chen Yufei, China, beat World No 30 Fitriani Fitriani, Indonesia, 21-3, 21-19 in 32 minutes in the first round.
