Patna : Over one lakh Chhath devotees will offer Arghya' to a setting Sun on October 26, 2017, from 4.10 pm to 5.36 pm at different ghats of Patna. They will offer ‘Arghya’ to the rising Sun on October 27 at 6.24 am. The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has done fogging at all the 87 ghats under its jurisdiction from Digha to Patna City. It has also put Dustbins at all the ghats. Patna district administration has deployed NDRF and SDRF teams on boats with divers along the ghats.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar had recently inspected security and other arrangements at different ghats on a steamer. Roads leading to different ghats in Patna have been cleaned and decorated by the locals with mikes blaring popular Chhath songs.
