Patna :  2018 US Open Champion and 4th seed Naomi Osaka, 22, Japan, and 28th seed Jennifer Brady, 25, USA, will clash in the women’s singles semi-finals of US Open ( tennis) on September 11, 2020.

Osaka, who also won Australian Open title in 2019, beat unseeded Shelby Rogers, 27, USA, in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 in the quarter-finals on September 9, 2020. Osaka won 3 break points in the match to just 1 by Rogers, who was playing her second Grand Slam QFs match.

The American fired 6 Aces in the match to just 1 by the Putintseva, who had reached French Open QFs in 2016 and 2018. Brady, who had stunned 2016 US Open Champion Angelique Kerber, 32, Germany, in Round of 16, won 4 games in a row in the match to 2 by the Kazakh player.
