Opening day collection of film ‘Zero’ is below expectation

Patna : Anand L Rai directorial film ‘Zero’ starring Shahrukh Khan, Anushka Sharma, and Kaitrina Kaif, seems to be underperforming if its box office collection on day 1 is any indication. Released on December 21, 2018, on 4,380 screes across India ahead of Christmas, the film did a business of a little over Rs 20 crore only on its opening despite the hype around it.

The film has been made on a budget of around Rs 200 crore including the print and publicity cost. The film, a romantic comedy drama, revolves round a vertically challenged person Bauua Singh ( Shahrukh) belonging to a rich family who is facing difficulty in finding a life partner. The film has a love triangle. It marks the last appearance of Sridevi in a film.
