New Delhi : Only 9,309 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,08,80,603 cases in the country at 8 am on February 12, 2021. In sharp contrast, 15,858 Covid-19 patients were declared cured / discharged in last 24 hours in India taking the tally to 1,05,89,230 in the country on February 12, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (1,35,926) by a whopping margin of 1,04,53,304.

The active cases accounted for just 1.25% of the total Covid-19 cases recorded in India on February 12, 2021, a drop of 6,636 cases in last 24 hours. India has tested 20,47,89,784 samples so far including 7,65,944 samples on February 11, 2021. Meanwhile, 75,05,010 healthcare workers have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in India so far including 4,87,896 beneficiaries on February 11, 2021.

The Covid-19 toll jumped to 1,55,447 in India in on February 12, 2021, with 87 new deaths being recorded in the country in last 24 hours. India had recorded 108 new deaths on February 11, 2021.

Of the 1,08,80,603 Covid-19 recorded in the country so far, altogether 1,05,89,230 patients have been declared with the recovery rate (RR) being 97.32%.
