New Delhi : Only 161 new Covid-19 deaths were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,51,160 at 8 am on January 11, 2021, with the case fertility rate being 1.44%.
The 161 deaths recorded in India in last 24 hours included 34 in Maharashtra, 23 in Kerala, 19 in West Bengal, 14 in West Bengal, 12 in Delhi, 10 in Madhya Pradesh, 7 in Tamilnadu, 6 in Chhattisgarh, 6 in Punjab, 5 in Uttarakhand, 4 in Gujarat, 4 in Bihar, 3 in Rajasthan, 2 in Karnataka, 2 in Jharkhand, 1 in Andhra Pradesh, and 1 in Haryana. India had recorded 201 new deaths on January 10, 2021.
A total of 16,311 new Covid-19 cases were recorded in India in last 24 hours taking the tally of cases recorded so far in India to 1,04,66,595 at 8 am on January 11, 2021. On the other hand, 16,959 Covid-19 patients were declared cured/discharged in the country in last 24 hours taking the tally to 1,00,92,909 on January 11, 2021, exceeding the number of active cases (2,22,526) by a whopping margin of 98,70,383. The active cases accounted for only 2.13% of the total cases on January 11, 2021, a drop of 809 cases in last 24 hours.
Of the 1,04,66,595 cases recorded so far in the country, altogether 1,00,92,909 patients have been declared cured/ discharged with the recovery rate (RR) being 96.43% on January 11, 2021, according to Union Health MInistry figure..
