Arsa : Some armed miscreants shot dead a man and injured two others including a Up-Mukhia at Darshan Chhapra village in Belaur panchayat under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur District on July 10, 2020, afternoon.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. Later, the doctor referred one of the injured to Patna Medical College and Hospital in view his critical of condition. The deceased was identified as Brij Bihari Yadav, 35, son of Nand Kishore Singh of Darshan Chhapara village, while the injured were identified as Uday Shankar Singh, son of Nand Kishore Singh of Darshan Chhapara, and Amarjeet Yadav, son of Surendra Yadav of Rampur village in Bagawa panchayat under Gadhani police station. An FIR has been lodged with Udwantnagar police station in this connection sand police are investigating the matter. Tension prevails in and around the village following the incident.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that Nand Kishore Singh of Darshan Chhapara village had purchased a tractor that became bone of contention between two groups of the village. On July 10 afternoon, both the groups were discussing the issue when some Scorpio borne miscreants reached there and shot at three persons including a Up-Mukhia and escaped from the scene. In the firing, Brij Bihari Singh was killed on the spot while Uday Shankar Singh and Amarjeet Yadav were seriously injured. The doctor referred Up- Mukhia Amarjeet Yadav to the PMCH.
