Ara : One person was killed and two others injured when a speeding bus dashed an autorickshaw between Kasam-Dularpur Bhramsthan on Ara-Sasaram main road under Udwantnagar police station (PS) in Bhojpur District on August 6, 2021, morning. The bus driver escaped with the vehicle dashing the auto.
The deceased was identified as fruit seller Vikas Kumar alias Govind Kumar, 20, son of Krishna Singh of Piro Ward No 2 Ambedkar Colony under Piro PS in Bhojpur District while the injured were identified as Santosh Kesari, son of Ram Balak Kesari, and Rakesh Kumar alias Dheeraj Kumar. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there.
The injured Rakesh Kumar said at Ara Sadar Hospital that he along with Vikas Kumar and Santosh Keshari had gone to the Bazaar Samiti at Ara under Nawada PS on August 6 morning for buying fruits. After buying fruits, they were returning on an autorickshaw and when they reached near Kasap-Dularpur Brahmsthan on Ara-Sasaram main road under Udwantnagar PS, a speeding bus dashed the autorickshaw from behind and the driver escaped with the bus.
The autorickshaw overturned on the road and all the three were injured. They were admitted to Udwantnagar Primary Health Centre where the doctor referred them to Ara Sadar Hospital after first aid but Vikas Kumar alias Govind Kumar succumbed to his injuries on way to the Sadar Hospital.
