Ara : One person was killed while two others were  injured when a bicycle collided with a motorcycle near village Sohara on Sohara-Majhauli main road under Krishnagarh police station (PS) in Bhojpur District in South Bihar on October 13, 2021, late evening.

Police brought the body over to the Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Hridaya Yadav, 28, a labourer and son of Muni Yadav of village Sinha under Sinha police outpost while the injured have been identified as Alok Kumar Ram, son of Ram Naresh Ram, and Mahavir Yadav of village Sohara under Krishnagarh PS.

Jitendra Yadav, brother of the deceased, said that Hridaya Yadav had gone to village Balua  under Krishnagarh PS on his daily work and was returning home in the late evening on his bicycle when the accident took place. All the three injured were admitted to Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors referred them to  Patna Medical College and Hospital in view of their  precarious condition but Hridaya Yadav succumbed to his injuries on way toPMCH.

The villagers and family members of the deceased blocked the road near Ithaana Mor with the body since October 14, 2021, morning, paralysing movement of vehicles for about three hours. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded a compensation of Rs. 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the police officers.
