Patna: New Zealand ( NZ) scored a modest 153/6 in 20 overs against India in 2nd T20I at JSCA International Stadium Complex, Ranchi, Jharkhand, on November 19, 2021, night,  as India conceded only 15 runs in last three overs.

NZ were 60/1 after power play but could score only 93 runs in next 14 overs. They were 84/2 after 10 overs. For India, debutant fast medium bowler Harshal Patel took 2/25 in 4 overs while pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Deepak Chahar and spinners Axal Patel and Ravichandran Ashwin took one wicket each.

India had won the toss and opted to bowl.   Batting first, NZ openers Martin Guptill ( 31 runs) and Daryl Mitchell (31 runs) added 49 runs for the 1st wicket. Guptill fell to Deepak Chahar. Mark Chapman fell to spinner Axar patel for 21 making it 79/2. Daryl Mitchell fell to Harshal Patel for 31 and it was 90/3. Tim Seifert fell to Ashwin for 13 and it was 125/4.

Glen n Phillips fell to Harshal Patel  for 34 in 21 balls hitting 1 four and 3 sixes, one each of Bhuvneshwar Prasad, Deepak Chahar, and Harshal Patel.  It was 137/5. James neesham fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar for 3 making it 140/6 after 18 overs.
