Patna : Ross Taylor scored New Zealand (NZ) 200 in 212 balls, his 3rd test double century, and Henry Nicholls 107 in 129 balls, his 5th test century, as New Zealand (NZ) declared their first innings at 432/6 on the third day of the rain shortend 2nd test against Bangladesh at Basin Reserve, Wellington, New Zealand, on the 4th day of the play on March 11, 2019.
NZ captain Kane Williamson, who had scored an unbeaten 200 in the first test, scored 74 despite being injured while Colin de Grandhomme remained unbeaten on 23 with 3 fours. NZ openers Jeet Raval and Tom Latham, both of whom had scored centuries in the 1st test, scored 3 and 4 runs respectively.
Bangladesh, who were 211 all out in their first innings, were 80/3 in 23 overs in their second innings at stumps on day 4 still trailing by 141 runs. Bangladesh will have to bat the entire day on day 5 on March 12 to save the test with 7 wickets in hand. New Zealand are 1-0 in the three-match test series.
