New Delhi : The exponential increase in the number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients getting cured continues in India reaching 4,76,377 at 8 am on July 9, 2020, an increase of 19,547 during last 24 hours, exceeding the active cases by 2,06,588. On the negative side, COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 21,129 in the country with 487 new deaths being reported from different parts of the country including 198 from Maharashtra, 64 from Tamilnadu, 54 from Karnataka, 48 from Delhi, 23 from West Bengal, 18 from UP, and 16 from Gujarat.
Maharashtra accounts for 1,23,192 cured patients while in Delhi 78,2199 patients have been declared cured. In Tamilnadu, 74,167 patients have been cured till date while 27,289 patients have been declared cured in Gujarat till date. In Bihar, 9,554 patients have been cured.
COVID-19 death toll break-up in India is : Maharashtra (9,448), Delhi (3,213), Gujarat (1,993), Tamilnadu (1,700), UP (845), West Bengal (8217), MP (629), Rajasthan (482), Karnataka (470), Telengana (324), Haryana (282), Andhra Pradesh (264), Punjab (178), J&K (149), Bihar (107), Odisha (48), Uttarakhand (46), Kerala (27), Jharkhand (22), Assam (16), Chhattisgarh (14), Puducherry (14), Himachal Pradesh (11), Goa (8), Chandigarh (7), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Ladakh(1), Meghalaya (1), and Tripura (1).
