New Delhi : Coronavirus (COVID-19) death toll jumped to 5,165 in India at 8 am on May 30, 2020, registering an increase of 194 new deaths during the last 24 hours.Maharashtra alone accounts for 2,197 deaths followed by Gujarat with 1,007 deaths.

But, what is more significant is the rapid increase in the number of Coronavirus patients getting cured/discharged in India, which has surged to 86,983 including 28,081 in Maharashtra and 12,000 in Tamilnadu, an increase of 4,614 in last 24 hours. The number of active cases stands at 89,995 in the country.

The Coronavirus death toll break-up is : Maharshtra (2,197), Gujarat (1,007), Delhi (416), MP ( 343), West Bengal (309), UP (201), Rajasthan (193), Tamilnadu (16), Telengana ( 77), Andhra Pradesh (60), Karnataka (48), Punjab (44), J&K (28), Bihar (21), Haryana (20), Kerala (9), Odisha ( 7), Jharkhand (5), Himachal Pradesh (5), Uttarakhand (5), Chandigarh (4), Assam (4), Chhattisgarh (1), and Meghalaya (1).
