NSUI members stage demonstration before VC, VKSU

Ara : Hundreds of activists of the National Students Union of India (NSUI) led by its Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara,  unit president of Abhishek Dwivedi, staged demonstration in front of the office of the Vice Chancellor, VKSU, on June 20, 2018, to protest alleged irregularities in the university including realisation of excess fees from the SC/ST students as well as from the girl students in almost every college of the university at the time of admission violating the order of the office of the Governor cum Chancellor. They raised slogans against the VC and warned if such practice is not stopped immediately, they would be compelled to launch phasewise agitation.

Dwivedi said that the Governor cum Chancellor of the universities had stopped the university and college administration from realising extra amount from the girl and SC/ST students at the time of admission. Besides, the university and college officials allegedly also realise heavy amount from students in the name of Identity Cards. When contacted, the VC refused to say anything on the matter.
