Ara: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, will adopt statues of martyrs and freedom fighters for their proper upkeep and maintenance.
Coordinator, NSS, VKSU, Prasunjay Kumar Sinha said that the NSS wing of S B College, Ara, will look after the statue of Neta Ji Subhash Chandar Bose situated near Ara Nagari Pracharini Sabhagaar and Lok Nayak Jai Prakash Narain’ statue near Ara Collectorate. Likewise, Maharaja College NSS will take care of martyr Chandrashekhar Azad’s statue at Shaheed Chowk and the statue of the freedom fighter of first war of independence, Veer Kuer Singh, located on the campus.
Sinha said that the volunteers of the NSS have launched cleanness drives and will embark on cleanness mission around the statues very Sundays and added that it would be real tribute to the martyrs if we keep their statues and their surroundings clean.
