Notorious goon Butan Chaudhary sentenced to 7 yrs’ RI for possessing AK 47

Ara : Additional District and Session Judge VI, Ara,  Tribhuan Yadav, on January 30, 2019, awarded seven years’ rigorous imprisonment (RI)  to Butan Chaudhary for possessing AK 47 besides slapping a fine of Rs 8,000 on him. The court also awarded three years’ rigorous imprisonments to four others: , Butan Chaudhary’s brother, Upendra Chaudhary, Kariman Chaudhary, son of Upendra Chaudhary, Gyani Ram, driver of Butan Chaudhary, and Sudhir Pandey in the same case and also slapped a fine of Rs 3000 on each of them.

Bhojpur police had arrested notorious criminal Butan Chaudhary along with four others and also seized one AK 47, one .315 caliber rifle, three countrymade pistols, 29 live cartridges of AK 47, 16 live cartridges of rifle and 10 live cartridges of pistols and a Bolero from their possession on March 4, 2016, from village Belaur under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district and lodged named FIR against them under Arms Act and submitted chargesheet in the case on March 23, 2017.
