Notorious criminal Navin Yadav dies at PMCH

Saharsa : Notorious criminal Navin Yadav, who had unleashed terror under Sonbersa Raj police station areas in Saharsa district and was arrested from a maize field at village Navtolia on April 22, 2017,  died at Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH) on May 2, 2017, morning.

SDPO, Saharsa, Subodh Kumar Biswas confirmed the death of Navin Yadav. Navin was referred to PMCH by the local doctors for better treatment. The body was handed over to the family members after autopsy at PMCH.

Navin, a natïve of village Sirrahi under Sonbersa Raj police station who had come out of Saharsa jail recently, had committed several major crime in the area before his arrest on April 22. On April 16, 2017, evening, he and his henchmen had set ablaze several houses at village Sirrahi after firing indiscriminately. The same night an engineer of LG company Amit Ranjan was shot dead near village Navtolia Shahpur which had rocked the district and the people had strongly protested it on April 17. Saharsa DM Vinod Singh Gunjiyal had ordered for immediate shifting of the SHO of Sonbersa Raj police station Mohd Ijhar Alam to policeline after the murder of Amit Ranjan.

On April 17, 2017, a resident of village Itahara under Baijnathpur police outpost Arun Yadav was shot at and injured near Chakla bridge and two days later an extortion amount of  Rs 50 lakh was demanded from the owner of Janata Rice Mill, Arraha, located near Sonbersa Raj police station, through his Munshi.
