Notorious criminal Nandlal arrested in connection with firing on Ashok Rajpath

Patna: A Pirbahore police team late on January 29 night arrested notorious gangster Nandlal in connection with firing on Ashok Raj Path near BN College the same evening. Taking serious note of the incident, Patna Senior SP (SSP) Mannu Maharaaj had directed the local police to arrest those involved in the firing.

A Pirbahore police team led by its SHO raided several possible hideouts of the criminals and arrested Nandlal from a house in Bhawar Pokhar locality.

It may be mentioned here that some criminals had fired five rounds in the air and the local shopkeepers downed their shutters in panic  on January 29 evening. One of the criminals reached a shop,`Avaran Vastralaya’, and tried to lift the closed shutter and then escaped on a bike in one of the lanes there. Police later saw the footage of a CCTV camera installed nearby and identified the criminals involved in the firing.
