Ara : One of the named accused in the murder of Ara businessman Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji, son of a businessman late Ram Khelawan Singh, Chand Mia, a notorious criminal, surrendered before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) on July 10, 2017.
Chand Mian and his brother Nayeem Mian are also one of the main accused in the Ara Civil Court bomb blast case. Police had arrested seven unnamed accused in the case earlier. Police said that at least 23 persons are involved in the murder of the businessman. Police are also searching for Babloo and Budhua who worked as liners for the murderers.
Another named accused Danish Rizwan, a senior HAM(S) leader, said that his name was given under a well planed conspiracy. He categorically rejected his involvement in any conspiracy in the murder of the businessman and said he would surrender in a day or two.
Krishna Kumar Singh alias Kumar Ji was shot dead in Padav locality near Model Institute under Town Police Station, Ara, on July 2, 2017 when he was on way to his house at about 11 am. A named FIR was lodged with Town police station against 10 persons including senior HAM (S) leader Danish Rijwan, his brothers: Md Shahid and Zamal Asaraf, Munnu Singh, son of Deputy Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Malati Devi, Indubhan Singh, former Bhojpur district president, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, notorious criminal Chand Mian and his brother Md Nayeem, on the statement of Mahesh Yadav of Bhaluhipur who was accompanying the deceased at the time of his murder.
One of the seven unnamed accused arrested in the case, Md Aslam alias Raza, son of Md Zameel of Badi Mosque, Gurhati lane, had revealed before police that a meeting was organized at the residence of Chand Mian and his brother Nayeem Mina after the Eid and it was resolved to eliminate Kumar Ji to re-capture his land at Bhaluhipur under Town police station and July 2, 2017 fixed as the date for his murder.
