Noted Sitamarhi singer Shivani Priya succumbs to injuries at Mathura Hospital

Sitamarhi,: Noted singer Shivani Priya, 32, also known as nightingale of Sitamarhi, succumbed to her injuries at a private Nursing Home at Mathura, Uttar Pradesh), in the wee hours on January 29, 2019.

Shivani, mother of  a baby daughter, was undergoing treatment there after a road accident on January 27, 2019, near Mathura toll plaza. She was returning from Mathura after a stage show along with her singer husband Nikhil Bhatia. Her in-laws’ house is located at Noida. She belonged to a humble family in hospital road locality in Sitamarhi town. She had her schooling from Nikhil Shyama DAV School, Dumra,  in Sitamarhi.
Shivani excelled during her school period in 2012 and sang songs in Hindi, Bhojpuri and Maithili languages. She also sang in Hindi and Bhojpuri films. The then Bihar governor Sunder Singh Bhandari had awarded her for her stage singing performance.
Several Sitamarhi dignitaries and social workers have mourned  Shivani.
