Nitish to inaugurate 10-day Sita Ram Nam Jap Mahayajna in Sitamarhi

Sitamarhi : Elaborate security and fire fighting arrangements have been made at village Bagahi under Riga block in Sitamarhi district for the ten- day Sita-Ram Nam Jap Mahayajna starting on  February 17, 2017. It is being organised to mark the centenary celebration of Tapaswi Narayan Dasji Maharaj. The health department has started a 20 bed makeshift hospital here.

Sitamarhi DM Rajiv Raushan and SP Hari Prasath S are supervising the arrangements made for the mega event. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will inaugurate the religious function on February 17. RJD national president and former Bihar CM Lalu Prasad will be here on February 18. As per programme chart, many VIPs are likely to the attend the Mahayajna in next ten days.

Twenty five thousand volunteers and social workers are  involved in the organisation of the Mahayajna, said Baba Sukhdev Das and added that around twenty lakh people from India and Nepal will  participate in the Yagna  during next ten days. He said that about Rs 15 crore will be spent mega event which will come through contribution and religious donation in the form of cash and grains.

It may be mentioned here that Tapaswi Narain Dasji Maharaj had constructed the famous Bagahi Mutt with the help
of villagers’ contribution around 50 years back.
