Nitish takes lunch with farmers at Kisan Samagam

Patna : Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on June 16, 2017, held discussion with about 2,000 farmers from across the state at Ashok Convention Centre at Gyan Bhavan near Patna Gandhi Maidan in connection with the preparation of the third Agriculrure Roadmap of the state for the period 2017- 2022.

The chief minister, many of his cabinet colleagues and senior government officials also took lunch (  Kisan Sahbhoj) with the farmers attending the Kisan Samagam  sitting on the floor of the Gyan Bhavan.

Nitish, who inaugurated the Kisan Samagam, listened to suggestions of the farmers to better their  productivity and sought to know from them what help the state government could extend to them in this regard.

Several farmers appeared very happy to have lunch with the chief minister while many others did not sound excited and described the event as symbolic. Many farmers sounded very well informed on modern agriculture techniques. The officials also made a presentation before the farmers on the proposed agriculture roadmap on the occasion.
