Patna : Bihar CM and JD(U) president Nitish Kumar on September 4, 2017, rubbished allegation of RJD chief Lalu Prasad that he was trying to poach Congress legisltors. Congress has 27 Members in Bihar legislative assembly. Nitish said that he was too preoccupied to indulge in such acts. Nitish instead said that an `unemployed’ Lalu was making such allegation to demoralise the Congress Party to ensure it remains with him. Nitish said that he was committed to the development of Bihar.
AICC President Sonia Gandhi had recently summoned BPCC chief Ashok Choudhary and CLP leader Sadanand Singh to inquire the issue with them following reports that Nitish Kumar had met several Congress legislators.
