New Delhi: Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) President and former Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manjhi on July 13, 2017, claimed here that CM Nitish Kumar was not sacking his deputy Tejaswai Yadav only to save his chair.
Addressing a presser at Press Club of India, Manjhi said that the CBI had on July 5, 2017, registered a case against the then Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, his wife and former CM Rabri Devi, his son Tejaswi Yadav, two Directors of a private Hotel Ltd. Company, and others on the allegations of awarding the tender for development, maintenance and operation of BNR Hotels at Ranchi and Puri to said private Hotel Ltd. Company in 2006.
Manjhi said that Tejaswi should have resigned himself. But, the RJD has ruled out the possibility of his resignation in the wake of CBI registering a case against him while Nitish Kumar on July 11 gave him four days’ time to make his stand clear though he should have sacked him immediately as he keeps talking about his zero tolerance against corruption.
HAM (S) will hold its nation conference on July 15 at Talkatora stadium in Delhi in which party members and workers from across the country will participates. Former Education Minister of Bihar Brishan Patel, former Transport Minister Ajit Singh and national General Secretary of the party Santosh Kumar Suman were also present at the press conference. Manjhi demanded reservation for poor among upper castes in the government jobs. He also demanded Bharat Ratna for freedom fighter and former Chief Minister of Bihar Karpoori Thakur and mountain man Dashrath Manjhi for their contribution to the society and country.
