Patna: After making an aerial survey of the flood affected districts, Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Sunday directed the DMs concerned to  launch relief and rescue operations on war footing. The CM made aerial survey of Patna, Bhojpur, Saran,Vaishali, Begusarai, Aurangabad and Nalanda districts.

On his return, the CM held a video conference  with the DMs of flood hit districts and inquired about the relief measures. Chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh  and principal secretaries of Disaster management and Water resources departments were also present.
In the morning, Water resources department minister Rajesh Ranjan alias Lallan Singh visited flood affecetd Digha area of the state capital and supervised the strengthening of the embankment  of river Ganga
