Patna : Bihar Governor Fagu Chauhan, on the advice of CM Nitish Kumar, on November 17, 2020, allotted portfolios among the Members of the State Cabinet including the Chief Minister
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has kept the portfolios of Home, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, Election, besides departments not allotted to any Minister so far.
Deputy Chief Miniser Tarkishore Prasad has been given the portfolios of Finance, Commercial-Taxes, Environment, Forest & Climate Channge, Information Technology, Disaster Management, and Urban Development & Housing.
The second Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi has been given the portfolios of Panchayati Raj, Backeard Classes & Extremely Backward Classes, and Industry.
Vijay Kumar Chaudhary will hold the portfolios of Rural Works, Parliamentary Affairs, Rural Development, Water Resources, and Information & Public Relations Department.
Vijendra Prasad Yadav will hold the portfolios of Energy, Prohibition, Excise & Registration, Planning & Development, and Food and Consumer Protection. Ashok Chaudhary will handle Building Construction, Social Welfare, Science & Technology, and MInority Welfare. Mewalal Chaudhary has been allotted Education while Sheela Kumari gets Transport.
Santosh Kumar Suman will handle Minor Water Resources and SC/ST Welfare while Mukesh Sahni has been given the portfolio of Animal & Fisheries Resources.
Mangal Pandey has been allotted the portfolios of Health, Art, Cultur & Youth Affairs, and Road Construction while Amrendra Pratap Singh gets Agriculture, Co-operative, and Sugarcane Industry.
Ramprit Paswan has been given the portfolio of Public Health & Engineerin while JIvesh Kumar gets Labour Resources, Tourism, and MInes & Geology. Ram Surat Kumar will handle Revenue & Land Reforms and Law.
