Motihari :  Leader of Opposition in Bihar legislative assembly Tejaswi Yadav on July 31, 2020, said  that Bihar CM Nitish
Kumar  had miserably failed  in dealing with the flood situation and Covid-19 pandemic in the state and there is no one to look after the  people of Bihar. The RJD leader said that the people were suffering  only due to apathetic attitude of the government. “CM Nitish Kumar is invisible for the past 136 days,” Tejaswi claimed.

Tejaswi  reached  Sugauli  in East Champaran District from Patna by road  and  met the flood affected people who have taken shelter under plastic  tents  on the fringe of Motihari-Raxaul NH28A. He distributed dry food packets and Rs 200 cash to each  flood
victim. He said this flood is not natural calamity as it was result of the failure of the government to tackle the  flood situation
in state. The state government is  totally indifferent to the plight of flood affected people as no relief measures has yet been initiated by it.
Lakhs of people including  the children are spending night  on road under open sky without food  and water, Tejaswi added . The marooned people  were not provided even boats, he said.

Tejaswi, however, did not  comment  on Jan Adhikar Party leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav,  who had recently visited  the flood affected areas in this district  and urged the people to make him the chief minister  of state and he would give them a better Bihar.
