Patna : Bihar CM and JD(U) national president Nitish Kumar on August 6, 2017, expressed hope that the coming together of BJP and JD(U) would reflect in increased central allocation to the state. Nitish was responding to an allocation of Rs 50 crore to Bihar announced by Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad for strengthening sub-ordinate judiciary at the launch of a central scheme `Tele Law : Mainstreaming Legal Aid through Commn Service Centre” at S K Memrial Hall, Patna. Prasad said that there would be no shortage of fund as the centre and state would work in harmony

Nitish said that Bihar’s annual budget size had now increased to Rs 1.4 lakh crore. BiharĀ  is a big state having 38 districts and 101 Sub-divisions and an allocation of Rs 50 -60 crore would not serve the purpose, Nitish said. Show more generosity, said the Bihar CM. It was first major at Patna after formation of NDA- JD(U) government in Bihar.

Prasad, who was on the dais, was seen similing. Prasad had earlier said he was extremely happy over reunion of the BJP-JD(U). The Supreme Court Judge Justice Deepak Misra and patna High Court Chief Justice Justice Rajendra Menon were also present on the occasion.
