Bagaha: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on November 9 started his `Nischay Yatra’ from Narakaiganj sub- divisional headquarters of West Champaran district where he reviewed functioning of sub-divisional Public grievance redressal office before which 18 cases were put up for hearing but none of them was disposed off. The CM asked to the sub-divisional Public grievances redressal officer Anil Kumar Jha to quickly dispose off the cases.The CM also met some JD (U) workers there

The CM was accompanied by deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, Revenue and Land Reforms minister Madan Mohan Jha, Chief secretary AK Singh. Home secretary Amir Subhani , DGP P K Thakur besides other top bureaucrats. DM, West Champaran Lokesh Kumar Singh gave the progress report of the public grievance redressal offices running in the district.

Meanwhile, a large number of people came out of the barricade to glimpse the chief minister. A group of students belonging to an anti-reservation organisation with black ribon band on their heads and led by Ankit Tiwari raised slogans against the chief minister for corruption in the offices but the CM did not respond. Police, however, dispersed the students. The CM flew from there to Mahadalit basti Muratia in Pakariha panchayat under Nautan block of the district and visited some dalit houses and inquired about toilets built and availability of safe drinking water under Sat Nischay programme.
The Chief minister also inaugurated district Registration office’s new building at Bettiah  collectoriate ground and held review meeting with top  officials including the chief secretary, home secretary and DGP. The chief minister also addressed a Chetana rally at Maharaja stadium, Bettiah, and reiterated his commitment to total prohibition in the state.
