New Delhi : The Government on June 6, 2019, reconstituted National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog with PM Narendra Modi as the Chairperson and Dr Rajiv Kumar as Vice-Chairperson. PM Narendra Modi has approved the re-constitution of National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog. V K Saraswat, Prof. Ramesh Chand, Dr V K Paul have been appointed as three full-time members of the NITI Aayog.
Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance & Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Seetharaman, and Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Narendra Singh Tomar have been made Ex-officio Members of NITI Aayog, according to a PIB release.
Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Road Transport & Highways Minister, Thaawar Chand Gehlot, Social Justice & Empowerment Minister, Piyush Goyal, Railways Minister, Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Statistics & Programme Implementation have been made Special Invitees.
