Patna : World Number 36 Kei Nishikori, 28, Japan, stunned World Number 4 and 3rd seed Alexander Zverev, 20, Germany, in the semi-finals to enter the final of Monte Carlo Masters 1000 in Monaco on April 21, 2018.
Nishikori, who has returned to the professional circuit after injury, defeated Zverev in a three-set thriller 3-6, 6-3, 6-4, in a massive upset in the tournament. He will meet World Number 1 Rafael Nadal, 31, Spain, in the final on April 22, 2018. Nadal defeated World Number 5 Grigor Dimitrov, 26, Bulgaria, in the other semi-finals 6-4, 6-1, on April 21.
