Patna : Nigeria defeated Iceland 2-0 in a Group D match of FIFA World Cup at Volgograd Arena, Russia, on June 22, 2018, night. Striker Ahmed Musa, 25, scored both the goals for Nigeria in 49th and 75th minute. Musa has so far scored 4 goals in the World Cup.
It was Nigeria’s first win in a World Cup match by amargin of more than one goal since they defeated Greece 2-0 in 1994 in their first apperance in the tournament. At half-time, the score was 0-0.
