Newly married woman raped at Buxar village, accused held

Buxar : Modesty of a newly married woman was outraged at village Raghunathpur under Brahmapur police station in Buxar district on November 28, 2017, night. Later, her family members caught the accused Kush Choubey alias Chinni Choubey and handed him over to police after thrashing him.
SHO, Brahmapur police station, D N Singh said that the son of Nand Lal Yadav of village Raghunathpur village was married to a girl of village Vena in Buxar district two months back. After living for a month with his wife, the husband went to Delhi where he works in a private firm.

On November 26, 2017, Kush Choubey came to Raghunathpur saying that he was cousin brother of the woman. As the marriage was solemnised just two monhs back, in- laws of the woman did not know all her relatives hence they allowed him to stay, the SHO said. On November 28 night, when all the family members were sleeping Kush Choubey entered the room of the woman and outraged her modesty. When the girl raised an alarm, her in-laws  who were sleeping in an adjacent room rushed to her and caught Kush Choubey. They thrashed him and handed him over to police.
