Motihari :  Kamlesh Kumar, whose father and a Middle School Headmaster Bhushan Kumar Tandon recently committed suicide, on July 16, 2019, lodged an FIR with Turkauliya police station in Eest Champaran district alleging that his father was under tension ever since he took over as Headmaster of Middle School, Mathurapur, as a huge fund of the schhol had been misappropriated earlier and he felt that he could be implicated in case of defalcation.

BhushanKumar Tandon, Headmaster of Government Middle School, Mathurapur, under Turkauliya police station in East Champaran district, had committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan with a plastic rope at his school office  on July 15, 2019, morning. Police are investigating into the matter. According to  report, when a school teacher Poonam Kumari and  students reached the school, they saw Tandon hanging from the ceiling fan. They informed the locals villagers, who informed e
police. SHO, Turkaulia PS, Akhileshwar Mishra, reached the spot and sent the body  for autopsy.

Rakesh Kumar Mishra, Mukhiya, Mathurapur panchayat, said that  Bhushan Kumar Tandon  had taken over as Headmaster Incharge after retirement of Headmaster Ramlal Ram in March 2019. Tandon, who belonged to Vaishali district, lived ina rented room at Kotawa. His wife, who with her son reached the school after getting  information, alleged  before the DSP and SHO that  two assistant teachers of the school were putting pressure on her husband to misappropriate the Mid-Day Meal (MDM) scheme fun but  he did not agree to it. She said that her husband was under tension ever since he took over as HM of the school and he had informed her that he had complained  to senior officials of education department  about it but to no avail.

SHO Mishra said,” We are investigating the case to know the reason behind the suicide.”
