Raxaul (Bihar): Nepal Government on April 14, 2020, decided to extend the lockdown till April 27, 2020, to stem the spread  of Covid-19 which has so far  infected 16 people in this land locked country. A decision to this effect was taken at the Cabinet Meeting on April 14, 2020. This is the third extension of lockdown since it was first implemented on March 24, 2020.

Nepal Government, in a statement issued on April 14, said  the sudden spurt in cases of Covid-19  in the country  has prompted  the government  to extend the lockdown for a further 12 days.Nepal Government has also decided  to continue with the prohibition on all international flights and the border closure until May 1, 2020.
