Bettiah : A man suspected to be a militant was arrested on Indo-Nepal border near Bhikhanathori by jawans of 44th battalion of SSB at Bhikhanathori border under Sahodra police station under Narakatiaganj sub- division in West Champaran district on January 25 morning and handed over to Sahodra police station.
Sahodara PS SHO Krishna Murari Gupta said that the man was is being interrogated but was yet to disclose his identity. Sources, however, said that he was a resident of Biratnagar district in Nepal but was mentally unsound and Nepal police were being contacted to establish his identity.
Meanwhile, intelligence bureau officers are reaching there to see the arrested person. In view of the Republic day celebrations, the SSB jawans on the border had sounded alert and every person trying to enter Bihar is being checked and the suspected was held.
