New Delhi : A three -day National Yoga Olympiad concluded at Talkatora stadium, New Delhi, on June 20, 2017, with distribution of prizes to the children of winner states by the Chief Guest  Upendra Kushwaha, MoS, Ministry of HRD. The Guest of Honour on the occasion was H R Nagendra, Chancellor of S VYASA University, Bangalore.

The awards were given in four categories. In Upper Primary (Girls) category, the Gold medal was bagged by the Gujarat team, Silver medal by the Delhi team and Bronze medal by Haryana team. In Upper Primary (Boys) category, the Gold medal was bagged by the Delhi team, Silver medal by  Gujarat team and Bronze medal by Tamil Nadu team, according to a PIB release.

In the Secondary (Girls) category, the Gold medal was bagged by Delhi team, Silver medal by  Gujarat team and the Bronze medal by the Karnataka team. In the Secondary (Boys) category, the Gold medal was bagged by Haryana team, Silver medal by Delhi team and Bronze medal by the Manipur team, according to the release.

Addressing the gathering of around 450 participating students, teachers and parents, Kushwaha pointed out that the age that these children are is a matter of joy as they have no tensions.
