Aurangabad : An armed squad of maoists attacked a construction site located between Tilaiya and Nawadih villages under Madanpur police station in Aurangabad district in Bihar on December 28, 2017, around 3.30 pm and set afire a JCB machine, three tractors and two bikes. Earth digging work for construction of road under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna was going on at the place. The naxalites also beat up some workers at the construction site. Aurangabad is a naxal hit district of Bihar.

Police and CRPF personnel rushed to the spot soon after getting information about naxal attack on construction site. Aurangabad SP Satyaprakash while confirming the incident on December 28 night said that search operation was on to nab the maoists. TheSP said that maoists numbering six had attacked the construction site.
