Aurangabad : Naxalites killed a farmer Nagendra Singh, 65, uncle of Rajan Kumar Singh, MLC, and torched 7 vehicles including three bus, three tractors, and a van at village Sudi Bigha under naxal infested Deo police station in Aurangabad district in Bihar at 9.30 pm on December 29, 2018, to create terror in the area.

Police and CRPF led by Aurangabad SP Satya Prakash reached Sudi Bigha soon after getting information about the incident after which the Naxalites fled away after a brief exchange of fire with cops. Senior police officers and CRPF Commandant Saurav Choudhary are camping at the village.

Aurangabad SP Satya Prakash on December 30, 2018, said that the Naxalites used highly explosive Codex wire to trigger explosion and also fired several rounds. The SP said that the Naxalites earlier used to collect levy from the construction firms operating in the area but with the decline in naxal activities in the area they were not getting levy. The SP said that Rajan Kumar Singh also runs a construction firm. The SP said police have launched a massive search operation after cordoning off the area to nab the naxalites. Deo is about 175 km away from Patna.
